Attention all Artists:
The concept here is raising awareness. We reached out to artists to
create visuals for what Inshelf represents. Here is an interpretation from Sound of Art's
own, Mario Pena.
A very interesting piece. Send us your feedback on this drawing and let us know what
think.

Reading Online
We're joining the debate on what it means to read in the digital age. We're on the side that believes the internet is changing the way people read in a positive way. Whether it's blogs, newspapers or five-hundred page novels, the internet makes it more accessible to read as much as you please.
The NY Times article stated that "Some traditionalists warn that digital reading is the intellectual equivalent of empty calories. Often, they argue, writers on the Internet employ a cryptic argot that vexes teachers and parents. Zigzagging through a cornucopia of words, pictures, video and sounds, they say, distracts more than strengthens readers."
We agree on the distractions, but reading online is a whole new ballpark, with capabilities that we're only starting to see with websites like Inshelf and devices like Kindle. From what we're working on (with a new team of programmers), the future looks bright for online reading.

Who the Hell is Mr.Addington?
That's what we asked ourselves after reading this NY Times article. "The Dark Side: The Inside Story of How The War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals", by Jane Mayer, explains that David Addington, Cheney's boy, has played a major part in sh*@#ting on the American Constitution. We're going to Shelf Mayer's book, and then we're going to ask ourselves, with all this evidence going around about the administration's wrong-doings, can someone at least write a book -even if it's fictional - about legal actions against the Bush Gang?

At this time, Inshelf does not sponsor one specific candidate. Therefore, we are asking our viewers to disregard the Mcain advertisements that our floating around our site. As you can see we posted an Obama Shelf News a few days back, so now we wonder if Google Ads is part of Mcain's Campaign and adding Mcain ads to websites who support Obama through its content? Hmm...interesting.

Shelf Cab
My fellow Shelfians, Inshelf.com is by all means growing into what we all envision it to be. After launching a few months ago, we are working extensively in developing new features in order to make Inshelf.com a staying power in the vast web world. We are committed and focused on enhancing usability and communication within the Inshelf Community. To raise capital for all upgrades, we've decided to take the road less traveled by taking the busiest roads. The Inshelf crew is raising awareness through one-on- one conversations with people in cabs. Who's driving? We are. Catch the Shelf Cab somewhere in the state of New Jersey handing out bookmarks and Syllabuzz Magazines. You can also follow our progress through our daily Shelf Cab Blog launching shortly, with book recommendations from you, the people, and all the interesting stories from our cab journeys. Taxi!!
